ABC Blog Challenge: "G" and "H"
Today for the Alphabet Challenge I decided to combine letters. I used Zoya Harley for my "H" which is a shimmery gray that almost leans the slightest bit of purple. Zoya describes it as a "light concrete gray base with subtle flecks of silver, gold and copper shimmer." I don't really see any copper but I also am not the best when it comes to describing colors. I did a glitter accent nail with Icing's Glitteratti which is my "G". This is a a polish that is just packed with glitter. It has larger pink hex glitter and has smaller pink, gold, green and blue glitter in it. I used two coats of this on my ring finger in the photos below. I was pleasantly surprised that this glitter actually laid on the nail pretty nicely.

That is a really nice glitter. I always wonder with like Claire's or Icing if the glitter will end up being really sparse. I have a few that I got for my 5 year old for Christmas and you get like 2 pieces of glitter per nail. It's good to know that this was packed with glitter. I may need to check that one out!
ReplyDeleteI hate when that happens! I think it is a very hit or miss brand. I picked up 3 others and haven't tried them yet. The good thing about them is they are pretty reasonably priced. I highly recommend opening them before you buy! I had a couple that I had to run under hot water to open and they were all gunked up!
DeleteThat's a great combo!!! I haven't tried my Harley yet and I really like how you spiced it up with glitter!! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI love this combo! I have never used Icing's polish before but that purple is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHarley is so pretty! It looks a little bridal to me. Nice combo of grey and purple, too.
ReplyDeleteAmy just wanted you to know that I have nominated you for the Liebster Blog Award!http://valiantlyvarnished.blogspot.com/2012/07/liebster-blog-award.html
